Zuul got in his face and snarled then stroked the left side of his face. She then asked Podcast if he was the Keymaster. Trevor picked up the P.K.E. Meter, inexplicably in the study, too, but it suddenly went into taser mode. Zuul recognized the taser and quickly hid behind the chair and snarled.
Kylie activated the Wall-Trap and preoccupied it while everyone ran back downstairs. Ray made a side bet with Kylie on how it would take to come down. It came five seconds ahead of Ray's guess.

Peter stared then before Ray could take a bite, told him to slow down and chew his food. Ray ran to the pole in the foreground and went down first. He called out to Peter and Egon to come on. Ray kicked off his shoes and readied his flightsuit as Peter landed with a carton. The Ghostbusters entered the lobby of the Sedgewick Hotel. The Hotel manager explained the guests were starting to ask questions and he was running out of excuses.
She called up Ray's cell phone and informed him of the good news. Ray, Winston, and Ron had just finished up a bust. Ray was validated that section at the store would come in handy and told Kylie they estimated Connla would return no later than midnight Wednesday. But he didn't have all the factors and the ghost returned earlier on Friday. As Connla was trapped, he ordered his army to destroy the Ghostbusters then free him. Lacking enough Traps, Kylie regretted sending Egon's friend away in his helicopter.

Tony Scoleri went through three stages of development. The first stage involved using a full-sized puppet with an articulated head. Mark Wilson built the prototype and video tests were promising but Dennis Muren believed the rotoscope load required would hamper the production schedule.
Ray addressed the ghost and warned it to leave Egon's body or face swift and terrible consequences. The ghost ignored him and bemoaned how the world was not better since the fall of Atlantis. He noted how men still lived hungry on the streets, the laws were not respected, and even the very air burned in one's chest.

Peter was amused with himself and paid off the teenagers for helping him. Slimer, while still in the tank, appeared on the Ghostbusters 101 commercial with Egon. In the fall, after the Ghostbusters' trip across the nation, Egon used Slimer as a test subject for his studies on the Ghost Smashers. For several days, Egon experimented on explosive dispersal of mid-range ectoplasmic manifestations. Slimer proved to be an excellent test-subject.
The Real Ghostbusters was nominated for an Emmy. In the climax Gozer has the kids at her mercy after they fail to trap her. She's about to attack, when suddenly, from offscreen, we hear the familiar voice of Bill Murray. Similarly, crossing the streams again doesn't work because they're not firing at an interdimensional gateway this time. With the Temple underground and miles away, they're only actually firing at Gozer's physical manifestation.

Peter gave Ray a friendly slap to the face. They ran to the Temple of Gozer just as Stay Puft reached for the roof top. Ray narrowly dodged his flaming hand and yelped. During rare downtime, Ray slept and had a vivid dream.
Ray conceded the vibrations would shake her to pieces and confessed they should have padded her feet. Egon was confident there was not a pair of Nikes in her size. Peter was not worried and proclaimed she was a harbor chick.
II looked better and was confident enough to experiment with the source material. He nevertheless criticized it for what he saw as a lack of tension and plot development. Vincent Canby said the film was funnier and not as "oppressively extravagant" as Ghostbusters; he believed the plot lacked depth but that the overall tone of the film was "remarkably cheerful". II felt like an extended version of its predecessor without as many impressive special effects. Writing for Empire, William Thomas said the script was sharp but certainly aimed towards entertaining younger audience members.
Peter teased Ray with "No studying." Ray made a face. Egon continued and revealed after the First World War, Shandor decided that society was too sick to survive. The inmates started getting closer to the table again and really took an interest in the discussion. Egon took stock of that and revealed Shandor had close to a thousand followers when he died. They conducted rituals up on the roof, bizarre rituals intended to bring about the end of the world.
II would go into production in November that year without having informed Reitman, who had not yet reviewed the unfinished script. Puttnam was removed from his job in September. This was in part because he had alienated Murray and his talent agent Michael Ovitz. Puttnam had publicly criticized Murray as "an actor who makes millions of dollars from Hollywood without giving back to his art. He's a taker". He also attacked expensive talent agency packages that provided scripts, directors, and stars; Ovitz also represented Aykroyd, Ramis, and Reitman. When Murray was finally ready, the script was not.
On Page 37, RGB Peter brings up Holtzmann's visual likeness to his Egon. The ghost above Holtzmann's who is from the end of "Venkman's Ghost Repellers". It's one of the ghosts harassing Peter's dad. The bulldog-pufferfish ghost is from "Mr. Sandman, Dream Me a Dream". The orange winged ghost is also from "Mr. Sandman, Dream Me a Dream".
